Exit the M4 at Junction 18 and take the exit for the A46/Bath Road towards Old Sodbury
Follow the A46/Bath Road for 1.9 miles (3 mins), then take the left turn onto A432/Badminton Road (opposite The Cross Hands Hotel/pub).
Go through Old Sodbury and follow the A432 for 2.2 miles (4 mins). At the roundabout, take the second exit (straight on) to continue on the A432/Kennedy Way.
At the roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway, take the third exit (right) onto the B4059 and pass the entrance to the big Tesco on the left, then continue to the next roundabout.
Take the first exit (left) and continue along Station Road to the next mini-roundabout, where you should take the second exit (right) onto Church Road.
Follow Church Road for 0.1 mile and the car park for St Mary’s Church is the first on the left after the White Lion pub. The church yard is through the arch next to the Playschool (opposite St Mary’s Primary School).
From the M5 (approx 20 mins):
Exit the M5 at Junction 14 and take the B4509 towards Charfield.
At the mini roundabout, take the third exit (right) and follow the B4058 road for a couple of minutes, until you come to the next turning on the left - turn left and follow the B4509 across The Downs until you reach Wickwar.
Turn right, following the B4060 through Wickwar for 3.1 miles (5 mins).
Turn right onto B4060/Peg Hill and follow the hill down to the roundabout. Take the first exit (left), then go down to the traffic lights and turn left onto B4059/Goose Green Way.
Follow this road until you reach a large roundabout opposite the big Tesco. Take the third exit (right) onto Station Road and go to the next mini-roundabout, where you should take the second exit (right) onto Church Road.
Follow Church Road for 0.1 mile and the car park for St Mary’s Church is the first on the left after the White Lion pub. The church yard is through the arch next to the Playschool (opposite St Mary’s Primary School).
From Bristol (approx 22 mins):
Join the M32 near Cabot Circus; continue on the Motorway and come off at junction 1 for A4174. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4174 towards B4058/Hambrook/Winterbourne.
After turning left towards Hambrook, follow the B4058/Bristol Road for 4.4 miles (8 mins) - this will take d the car park for St Mary’s Church is the first on the left after the White Lion pub. The church yard is through the arch next to the Playschool (opposite St Mary’s Primary School).you through Winterborne towards Iron Acton.
At the Iron Acton crossroads, continue onto B4059/Yate Road for 1.1 miles
When you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto B4059/Iron Acton Way; drive for 0.8 miles to another crossroads (Brimsham Green School should be on your left). Turn right at the traffic lights.
Continue down Greenways Road (it’s a long curved road with lots of speed bumps) for 1.1 miles (3 mins) until you get to a mini roundabout. Take the second exit right onto Church Road.
Follow the road for 0.3 miles (1 min) and St Mary’s Church will be on your right.
TO KINGSCOTE BARN
From St Mary’s Church (approx 24 mins):
Coming out of the church car park, take a right turn towards Yate town centre. At the mini-roundabout, take the first exit onto Station Road/B4060 towards Chipping Sodbury.
With (the rather large) Tesco on your right, take the third exit (right) on the roundabout and continue to another roundabout, past the bus station and petrol station; take the first exit onto Kennedy Way/A432.
Continue up the road for 1.1 miles (3 mins) until you get to another roundabout. Take the third exit (almost straight over) onto Badminton Road/A432 for 2.3 miles (6 mins), travelling through Old Sodbury until you get to a set of traffic lights at a crossroads.
Take the slip road left at Hill Lane onto the A46 and continue down this road for 3.8 miles (5 mins) (you’ll drive through a little village called Petty France).
Carry on straight, avoiding the turning to Didmarton, and continue on the A46 for another 5.4 miles (8 mins).
When you reach Bowldown Road at Lasborough, take a left turn and follow this road for 1.2 miles (3 mins). Turn left onto the A4135, with a slight right after 0.8 miles (1 min).
When you reach the B4058, turn right and travel down that road for 0.3 miles, where you’ll see the signs for Kingscote Barn on the right. Turn down here and follow the road down the hill, until you reach the car park on the right-hand side.
Evening Guests - Directions
From Junction 13, M5 (approx. 8 miles):
Exit M5 at J13 and take the A419 towards Stroud. At the next roundabout (by Shell station & Little Chef), take the third exit, signed Eastington.
In Eastington, at the roundabout, take the first exit left, signed Frocester. Drive straight through Frocester, up a steep, twisty hill and at the top, go straight across the crossroads (signed Nympsfield).
Continue on this road, past the turning to Nympsfield and a left turn, signed Horsley; a few yards past this turn, you will see the entrance to Kingscote Barn on your left.
From Junction 18, M4 (approx. 14 miles):
Exit north on A46 towards Stroud. Drive for approximately 11 miles and you will come to traffic lights, where you turn left, signed Kingscote.
Pass Hunters Hall Pub on left (do NOT turn right, signed Kingscote Village) and take the next right turn signed Nympsfield (again, do not turn right off this road to Kingscote).
At the end of this road, turn right at T-junction and the entrance to Kingscote Barn is just along on your right.
NB: if you use sat nav it may bring you in to Kingscote Village, which is NOT where you want to be!
From J14 M5 (approx 10 miles):
Exit J14 and take the B4509, signposted Wotton Under Edge. After approximately 2 miles, turn left onto the B4058/Wotton Under Edge.
Go through Charfield (watch out for speed cameras), then at next roundabout, take second exit (B4058) towards Wotton Under Edge.
At Shell Bear Street Garage in Wotton Under Edge, turn right and follow B4058 towards the war memorial roundabout (approximately 200 yards), then take the first exit up a long windy hill.
At the T-junction, bear right on the A4135, signposted Tetbury. After 100 yards, take exit left signposted Nailsworth (B4058).
After 1 mile, the entrance to Kingscote Barn will be on your right. It’s situated 15 minutes from Junction 13 on the M5 and 20 minutes from Junction 18 on the M4.
